Compassionate and devoted individuals working in social care were celebrated at the annual ‘West Sussex Care Accolades’ held virtually on Thursday 31st March 2022. 

18 finalists ‘zoomed’ in for the awards, with speeches from MP Gillian Keegan, Keith Hinkley, Amanda Jupp and Patrick Melville from TAP, highlighting the fantastic team working in West Sussex and coining the phrase ‘Better Together’.

This inspiring award ceremony, hosted by West Sussex Partners in Care and supported by West Sussex County Council, recognised 17 individual and 2 care teams who were outstanding winners and finalists that have gone ‘the extra mile’ and make a significant difference to the lives of people accessing care services across the county. 

The accolades were opened with a message from MP and Minister of State for Care and Mental Health, Gillian Keegan who commented on the exceptional contribution and commitment of all of the nominees and the moving examples of high quality care being provided across West Sussex.

It has been wonderful to read about how staff have gone above and beyond to care for the people for they support, which has helped them to lead meaningful lives with dignity, compassion and respect.  The only challenging part of the accolades has been to choose the finalists as in my eyes everyone is a winner.”
